Where can I donate prom clothing and shoes? Since 2014, annually, the team at Merciful has been in contact with institutions for children and has been gathering information about the needs of their high-school graduates. Where can I donate computers and other hardware? The team at Merciful assists with such donations. So far more than 100 computers have been donated to homes for children. You can find more information at - http://milostiv.org/computers
What are the terms for publishing an appeal for assistance? We receive many appeals for assistance. In order to be responsible to the responders to such appeals as well as to avoid any abuse of the process, we publish only the preliminary confirmed cases. Based on our evaluation, in some instances, we might publish more than one appeal for a certain cause, but not more than 5 in total and not more than 3 in a calendar year. In the instances of funds collection, the appeal is required to meet one of the following terms:
To have an assigned DMS number, which guarantees that the case has been verified
If a DMS number is not available, we request the following:
bank document certifying that the account is for donations (see information about where and how to open such a bank account at - milostiv.org/text/725)
documents concerning the specific case – for instance: regarding medical treatment, it is necessary to present a medical report (epicrisis) showing the name and the social security number of the person needing assistance as well as the stamp of the medical facility. If the treatment is abroad, it is necessary to present the bill quoted by the clinic, which may not be translated, but has to show the amount and the stamp.
